Canada Day

“Celebrate Canada Day Beaverton” is our annual FREE community festival for residents and visitors to celebrate the birthday of our nation.

This local celebration is produced as a community partnership with The Lions Club of Beaverton, local businesses and service groups, bringing multi-generational and family-friendly activities throughout the day and evening, sure to entertain festival goers all day long. Start the day with a pancake breakfast at the Fire Hall and windup at dusk with a spectacular fireworks display at the fairgrounds.

Stroll thru downtown Beaverton, and head to the Community Mall with outdoor displays and artisans on Simcoe Street.  Join in the games for the whole family at the Old Mill Gateway Park.  Enjoy live music at the Meeting Place and have strawberry shortcake with the Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society or enjoy a BBQ with the Beaverton Volunteer Fire Dept.

Winter Carnival

The Beaverton Lions would like to invite you to join us for a day of fun and activities starting with a pancake breakfast, community bake sale and Silent Auction.

Come down to Old Mill Gateway Park and join in the fun on the ice slides, zorb balls, face painting, mini golf, tug of war, donut on a string eating contest and sled races.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, sample the chili and stew at the Meeting Place or have a hot dog and hot drink from the Lion’s BBQ. Take the opportunity to warm up at our warming stations and then take a nostalgic ride through town on the always popular horse drawn wagon rides.

All you need is a Carnival Button for $2.00, available from our downtown merchants or any Beaverton Lion. We look forward to seeing you there.

Shoot for Hoot - Mixed Ball Hockey Tournament

No one Fights Alone was started in May 2012 in memory of local resident Ron Harris.  This was started by Ron's family and the Beaverton Lions began assisting in 2013.

Teams consist of 10 to 13 players, with 2 girls playing at all times. Games are played inside and out and guaranteed to play at least 3 games and it is sure to be a fun filled day!

In the past, 1/2 of the proceeds went into the community with the other half being donated to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation.

This year 1/2 of the proceeds will still go back into the community and the Harris family will be determining where the other half will be donated.
